'The Pieces Are In Flux'

26/10/2020 - 31/10/2020 Gallery Space

SaltSpace would like to present, ‘The Pieces are in ~ Flux’, a collaborative group show featuring 16 of our Digital Residents from our various online residencies ('What If' residency, Film & Audio-visual digital programme and our digital residencies via instagram and blog) that we have hosted since March 2020 after the Covid-19 restrictions were under effect.

This is a celebratory exhibition to showcase perseverance of our artists in residence who continued to develop, reflect and produce artwork under difficult circumstances. The exhibition is in response to witnessing persistent government failings in recognising how important the creative arts are. We want to highlight the variety of different creative expressions which not only help the artists but also provide others with content to engage with and enjoy during a socially isolating and chaotic period.

The artists involved work across a variety of different mediums such as painting, printmaking, film and drawing, and exploring themes which are also vastly unique to their own individual practices. Therefore, the theme of this exhibition looks to celebrate this individuality of artists and brings them together under one theme, a moment in flux, while producing a positive sentiment and consideration artists deserve.
