Roisin Cairney

My practice focuses on the human imagination fact and fiction and how the human mind created stories through their environments. My research focus on folk lore, folk medicine and folk witchcraft throughout history I focus my attention the common persons close relationship to nature and their understanding of the surrounding environment through practical work, storytelling and intuition, the misinterpretations of health conditions and the effects nature has on the human body and mind. I am interested in how these images and stories are interpreted through modern eyes and the modern imagination.
