The Pieces Are In Flux Part 2’, a collaborative group show featuring five of our ‘What If’ Digital Residents, Emily Dan , Ciara McInnes , Sharon Ferris, Hana Pokojna and Civic Soup.

The ‘What If’ residency with grant aided support from Glasgow City Heritage Trust @glasgowheritagetargeted disciplines and contemporary practice that directly related to the questions, problems & ideas around Glasgow’s built environment. The self-led residency provided time and space to generate new speculative ideas, develop existing practice + to focus upon a specific project.

Artists have come from different backgrounds including Service Design, Architecture, Heritage Visualisation, or Environmental Design and is a celebratory showcase for each to present their work developed with us.

Emily Dan, an architect-in-training is currently studying her 4th year at the Mac at the Glasgow School of Art. Previously gaining an undergraduate degree at Cambridge University before working in London for 2 years at DSDHA and Haworth Tompkins Architects.

Ciara McInnes is a Glasgow based artist and architect, her work has a focus on the built environment and broader urban context. Themes explored include impermanence and memory, specifically in relation to urban and abstracted landscapes.

Sharon Ferris is a Scottish digital artist and Visual Designer for Emerging Technologies. Her work responds to the theme of social phenomenon, revealed by social cultural, anxieties, discrimination and division.

Hana Pokojna specialises in medical visualisation, which combines science, technology and art. As a PhD student, she mainly works with digital 3D models and in her free time she enjoys transferring knowledge of human anatomy into art.

Civic Soup is a collective of architectural designers and artists who aim to generate interest in and facilitate action throughout our built environment. Engaging with diverse communities, their expanded spatial practice unfolds with a concern for social/cultural ecologies.
