'More Space For The People' 2021 SaltSpace Members Show

SaltSpace presents our 2021 line up featuring 53 emerging artists from across Scotland. This years members show also featured in Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival 2021 programme. Members were encouraged to explore the festivals theme of sustainable communities / cities and the upcoming cop26 in Glasgow within their submissions.

Sustainable cities and communities are human settlements that are inclusive and accessible; they are culturally inspiring, with safe, resilient, and sustainable living conditions. Sustainable cities address the social, environmental and economic impact of sustainability. They are walkable, bikeable and breathable spaces that are connected, allowing citizens to ditch transit, with urban planning that prioritises the people over cars, and rehumanizes urban centres. Sustainable cities and communities create positive change, foster social connections and mitigate environmental impact. They are cities and communities made for and by the people!
