'Cocoon Series'
17th - 21st August
Axiom Building Floor 2 Room 202A
Cocoon Series (2023), created in response to Rozsika Parker’s (1984) the Subversive Stitch, follows a line of enquiry into the use, context and connotations of textile fibre traditions.
Such processes are considered domestic, considered craft, and most often considered women's work. Through their employment in fine art sculpture, Roscoe hopes to challenge this by subverting these limiting perceptions. By applying the processes to a new format, within a new context, Roscoe hopes to help give the material a platform thus renewing its definitions.

Lily Garget and Sophie Minervini: a recent memory
7 - 9th Aril
SaltSpace gallery
'a recent memory' is a collaborative exploration of landscape through hands-on making processes, by Glasgow based artists Lily Garget and Sophie Minervini. The works on display include ceramic vessels, traditionally inspired textiles and text-based work, which are influenced aesthetically by the muted tones of the artist’s local surroundings, and conceptually by the narrative of the landscape there.

Cameron McCracken: I’m Still Standing!
26th ~ 30th March
SaltSpace Gallery
‘I’m Still Standing!’ is a solo show from Glasgow based neurodivergent artist Cameron McCracken. The exhibition is a retelling of the events of the artist’s life from the summer of 2018 to the summer of 2019, ups and downs, warts and all. When viewed as a whole it tells the story of the artist’s triumph over dark times and the sprouting of new found positivity from the ashes. This story is told largely through the lens of allegory, utilising imagery similar to that conjured by the many fairy tales and similarly fantastical stories read to us as children.

'Unknown Ties'
PREVIEW : Thursday 31st August 6-9pm
Axiom Building Floor 2 Room 202A
Unknown Ties
It happened before
And it will happen again
Sometimes things change but mostly things stay the same
We will understand
And maybe we won’t
Sometimes we are different but mostly we stay the same
Unknown ties divide us
Unknown ties connect us
somehow all at once.
