Fee

Membership is paid annually and starts from September – August, however due to the current COVID19 disruption, we will offer anyone who wishes to sign up over the summer of 2020 an extension of  their membership until September 2021.​ Membership can, if preferred, be paid for in kind by volunteering in some capacity at an exhibition or other event.

As we are a non-profit co-operative we do rely on contributions to help meet our running costs.

The below benefits apply to the student/graduate & emerging artist membership only.


  • Complimentary 10% discount at Cassart!

 

  •  Apply to exhibit work in our gallery space, you can download the application form here. 

 

  •  Apply for a self-led artist residency in our gallery space with optional exhibition at the end of residence.

 

  • Sell unlimited pieces of work through our online shop. Saltspace only takes 20% commission towards our running costs.

 

  • Each member has a dedicated artist profile page detailing practice and relevant links on our website. See current members here.

 

  • Run workshop(s) with 50% discount on the usual hire rate in our community space.  Hire costs for members are £25 full day rate or £5 per hour with the 4rth hour free.

 

  • You can apply for a studio space in our Makers Space which has limited availability.

 

 



 

Student & Graduate Membership £10

Open to students studying at institutions based in Scotland. Graduate Membership is open to recent graduates from an institution based in Scotland within the current year 2020.

Emerging Artist Membership £20

Open to graduates in the last 2 years and above, as well as emerging artists based in Scotland.

ones above. This membership has more specific output and involvement with us. 

  • Sign up to invigilate exhibitions

  • Assist installations

  • Volunteer at a specific event that has an area of interest

  • Assist in one off workshops
